Dear Valued Customers,

It has come to our attention that production specifications for the Maxine crib were changed without our knowledge or input.

The Maxine crib was introduced in 2001.

The original production was made with a wooden mattress support that was bolted to the left and right ends at the four corners. There was only a 300 piece run until a metal support was substituted. Productions of this type were run from 2001 thru sometime in 2005.

These changes were made although new assembly instructions were never written and enclosed. The original instructions indicated a wooden support and were still included in all shipments although the support was changed to metal.

The second production change that was made was to add lengthwise stabilizer bars
(similar to those on a dropside crib), along with a “scissor” type spring that attached to the “bars” rather than the ends. This model was produced and distributed thru June 2007.

The current production (July 2007) is again the same as the runs from 2001- 2005. Stabilizers bars are not required.

As of the July 2007 production, the original instructions are again accurate except that the wooden support is actually a metal support.

We sincerely regret any consumer problems that have arisen because of this and hope that this will clarify this issue for future inquiries.

As always our CS and parts department staff remain available to provide quality service to assist Reps, retailers, and consumers with this as well as all product inquiries.

Thank you for your continued business.
